From E-Government to Connected Governance

"Connected or networked governance revolves around governmental collective action to advance the public good by engaging the creative efforts of all segments of society" - UN E-Government Survey 2008

There are some great ideas in this report that we can build into our 2008 Utah.gov initiatives. The report ranks Sweden as #1 in egov, surpassing the US and you can see why they might do that after looking at Sweden's portal. It's both beautiful and functional. On the other hand, egov in the US is too large to be wrapped into a single portal. It may even be too large to evaluate. To my friends in Spain, I think you are now much better than 20th, my personal opinion.
