Flooding in Chehalis

I used to live in Chehalis, WA which was at the center of the flooding in the Northwest this past week. It was amazing to see an entire stretch of I-15 completely submersed as well as the main shopping complex in town. This photo of Centralia gives you an idea of how bad it was.

The town of Vernonia, OR was also hard hit. They are using this blog to effectively communicate things to their citizens.

In Florida, the state voting database is experiencing glitches. ''I want folks to understand Florida is not going down the crapper,'' [Secretary of State] Browning said as the noon keynote speaker at the conference sponsored by the Pew Center on the States and Electionline.org. ``And you can quote me on that.''
