I'm working on a number of projects currently. One is to look at cost cutting technology measures for the State of Utah. Another is to create a list of potential SAAS applications that could be used within government. There is certainly a degree of overlap between the two projects. I am creating the SAAS apps table in the Zoho Online Services database that I created last year.
Here are a few of the SAAS tools that I'm looking at:
- Pingdom - A nice online tool for monitoring the status of your websites.
- Policymap - This online GIS service lets you look at all kinds of national data from the census and other sources to help in policy decision making. Even the free product has a lot of value.
- Huddle - An online collaborative project management tool
More later...
